One of the most important educational trends I've researched is the "maker movement." Through advances in technology, anyone can pick up a new technology and "make" something new or create a "remix."

A remix can be defined as “a non-linear re-interpretation of a given work or media other than audio." Such as a hybridizing process combining fragments of various works. The process of combining and re-contextualizing will often produce unique results independent of the intentions and vision of the original designer/artist.

For my remix, I decided to focus on my love of music and my current favorite TV show The 100. In the video, I introduce the concept of remixing and then go on to show my remix of The 100 and Dangerous Woman, performed by Ariana Grande. This song was not written to accompany footage of from The 100, however, I was able to choose certain clips from episodes to mash them up with the music.

 

The end product is an interpretation of how I view the song and the show.
